What Information is Collected
We collect and use the following information to provide, improve and protect our Services:
Your Account. We collect information when you register with Numberscribe for an account or modify such account, including your name, physical address, e-mail address and phone number. Some of our services let you access your accounts and your information with other service providers.
Services. When you access and use the Services (including without limitation when you upload, download, collaborate on or share files or other information), we store, process and transmit your files (including your images, structured data and e-mails) and information related to them in order to provide you with the features and functionality of the Services. If you give us access to your contacts, we'll store those contacts on our servers for you to use.
Usage. We collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, access times, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before coming to our sites, and identifiers associated with your devices. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services. We also monitor user activity of the Services and may collect information about the applications and features you use, information about the files, materials, data, text, images and other content (collectively, “Content”) you upload, download, share or access while using the Services (i.e. the file name, size and format) and what actions you take with respect to your Content.
Cookies and Other Technologies. We use technologies like cookies and pixel tags to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or device memory that help customize your experience and preferences, allow you to access the Services without re-entering your e-mail and/or password, and help us understand which areas and features of the Services are the most popular. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services. Pixel tags are electronic images that may be used in the Services or in e-mails that help us to deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness and determine whether an e-mail has been opened and acted upon.

Other Users. Our Services display information like your name, e-mail address and organization to other users in places like your user profile and sharing notifications. Certain features let you make additional information available to other users, including project names and details, comments and notes, data sets and chart outputs.
The sharing and collaboration features that allow you to share your Content through the Services are based on permissions and settings you choose. You can choose to change your settings at any time for a file or folder through your account. Other users with whom you have shared Content may be notified that such Content will be deleted if you terminate your Services.

Our Website uses Secure Sockets Layering (SSL) to encrypt your personal information, including your credit card number, before it travels over the internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions. In order for SSL security to work, you must use a SSL enabled browser. Most browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome, support SSL.
Numberscribe retains your Content and information you store on our Services for as long as we need it to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we'll also delete this information (please see the Terms of Services regarding the termination of your account). We may, however, retain certain information if we believe it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and other legitimate business purposes. In addition, there may be some time lag in deleting this information from our servers and back-up storage.
Pursuant to California law, California residents who have an established business relationship with Numberscribe may choose to opt out of Numberscribe’s disclosure of personal information about them to third parties for direct marketing purposes. If you choose to opt out at any time, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
